You also have to reset it for every shot. Zniper suggested I change the nock height but I couldn’t see why I would want to do that if bareshaft tuning said it should be where it is. However light I sent the sensitivity for Zniper to hold the arrow in place without dropping at the merest hint it would not always drop at 50m.
The lack of adjustability didn’t give me the same confidence in the BiDrop as with the others, especially when changing between fat indoor and skinny outdoor arrows.They all work well and foot powder testing showed that they didn’t interfere with vanes/arrow flight.The rest of the rest is almost the same as the well proven Spigarelli ZT and has all that adjustment that that rest gives. The amount of drop is controlled by a threaded allen key screw. The Spigarelli is really a combination of the two in that the folds in and drops.There is adjustment for the weight of the drop and how far the wire drops so that it doesn’t contact the riser shelf. The wire is adjustable for width and height and is held up by magnets. A magnet returns the wire to the right position after firing. There is no adjustment you simply fit it and move the wire to the right width for the arrow shaft. The BiDrop doesn’t really drop away, the wire moves in like a normal wire rest but moves in a 45 degree downwards arc.Obviously these are my opinions but I have tested them pretty exhaustively. Coming from compound where I used a drop away it seemed only logical that recurve would use them. Possible exception of the Zniper there is hardly any information at all so I thought I’d share my experience with the Grabriel BiDrop, the Zniper and the Spigarelli M.A.P.
